Any member of the Madison Chamber is able to be a nominee for the awards as long as their membership is in good standing at the time of nomination. The categories that available are:

- Best in Healthcare (Medical Offices)
- Best in Arts & Entertainment
- Best Minority-Owned Business of the Year
- Best Retail Small Business of the Year (under 100 employees)
- Best in Wellness (Fitness Studios, Spas, Salons, etc.)
- Best Non-Profit of the Year
- Best Service Small Business of the Year (under 100 employees)
